You have taken an important step to improve the quality of your life. We are pleased that you chose us to assist you and your family. You will be involved in planning the services that will focus on your unique needs.


You would review your plan with us regularly to see if the services provided are helping you to reach your goals. Your counselor will work with you and medical staff will be involved in your care as needed. The doctor, nurse practitioner, or physician assistant will consult with you to assess whether medication(s) may help you. The risks and benefits of medications that s/he may prescribe will be thoroughly explained to you.

MEDICAID

INDIVIDUAL SERVICES

Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR)

 (PSR) services are designed to assist the individual with compensating for or eliminating functional deficits and interpersonal and/or environmental barriers associated with their mental illness. 

Community Psychiatric Support and Treatment (CPST)

 (CPST) are goal-directed supports and solution-focused interventions intended to achieve identified goals or objectives as set forth in the individual’s individualized treatment plan.  

Crisis Intervention (CI)

(CI) services are provided to a person who is experiencing a psychiatric crisis and are designed to interrupt and/or ameliorate a crisis experience, via a preliminary assessment, immediate crisis resolution, de-escalation and referral, and linkage to appropriate community services to avoid more restrictive, levels of treatment. 

Medication Management

is provided to assess, monitor a consumer’s status in relation to treatment with medication, instruct the recipient, family, significant others, or caregivers of the expected effects of therapeutic doses of medications, administer prescribed medication when ordered by the supervising physician as part of a mental health rehabilitation plan which is inclusive of additional rehabilitation services and supports. 

Individuals Intervention (Children)/Support Counseling (Adults)

are verbal interactions between the counselor/therapist and the consumer that are brief, face-to-face, and structured. Individual intervention, (Youth) is a range of professional delivered therapeutic strategies provided individually and face-to-face to the consumer.  

Independent Living/Skills Building

Services are designed to assist children who, are or will be, transitioning to adulthood with support in acquiring, retaining, and improving self-help, socialization, and adaptive skills necessary to be successful in the domains of employment, housing, education, and community life and to reside successfully in home and community settings. GROUP SERIVES

Parent/Family Intervention (Counseling)

Is a therapeutic intervention involving the client and one or more of his/her family member. The primary goal of the service is to help the client and family improve their overall functioning in the home, school, work, and community settings. 

Addiction Services-IOP (ASAM LEVEL-1)

These services include but are not limited to, individual, group, family counseling, and psychoeducation on recovery and wellness. These programs offer comprehensive, coordinated, and defined services that may vary in level of intensity but are fewer than nine contact hours per week for adults and fewer than six hours a week for adolescents. 

Addiction Services-IOP (ASAM LEVEL-2)

These services include, but are not limited to, individual, group, family counseling, and psychoeducational on recovery, as well as monitoring of drug use, medication management, medical and psychiatric examinations, crisis intervention coverage, and orientation to community-based support groups. Intensive outpatient program services shall include evidence-informed practices, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and multidimensional family therapy.   


PATIENT ADMISSION

INTAKE

is typically the initial intake appointment a patient will have it can take 16 minutes in length at a minimum and 60 minutes in length at maximum time.

PSYCHIATRIC DIAGNOSTIC EVALUATION

is used for diagnostic evaluation of new behavioral health concerns and or illnesses, or upon treatment of a new patient. We recommend our patient give us at least 60 minutes to perform a session.  If more time is needed for the sessions no longer than 90 minutes, will be needed for the total session.

MEDICAL ASSESSMENT

is performing a medical history, examination, initial diagnosis, responsiveness to treatment, and treatment plan, require a minimum of 60 minutes up to 120 minutes time to render an exhaustive diagnostic interview and examination of the patient.

The state, through the Department of Health, is more effectively managing Medicaid enrollees’ health care through Healthy Louisiana. Louisiana’s Medicaid/Medicare providers deliver a valuable service to the recipients, and their continued input and participation are critical as the State works to create a care delivery system that leads to better health outcomes and more effectively coordinates services and treatment. The program includes managed care organizations (MCO) to improve recipient health outcomes and add benefits for recipients as well as some others providers that our agency offers coverage through. NEW PATIENT INFORMATION

At Ameliorable Solutions, we desire to make the New Patient Registration process as simplified as possible. Our highly trained staff are here and ready to help make this a satisfying experience. Below is outlined some of the information that you may need to expedite a smooth process.

Appointments

Our front office team is available to assist you with appointment scheduling Mondays – Saturdays.  Please give us a call at 504.309.4628 to schedule your appointment or click here to schedule your appointment are to for check availabilities.


Clinic Hours: Are By Appointments Only Monday-Friday & Saturday 10:00am – 4:00 pm

Initial Appointment:

The initial appointment includes a Diagnostic Assessment Intake. During this assessment, a Clinical Interview will be conducted in which the patient’s symptoms, history, background information, concerns, and initial treatment planning are reviewed to complete this part of the process.


A clinician will then be assigned and a plan for any additional psychological/neuropsychological testing will be determined upon the patient’s follow-up visit with one of our highly trained Doctors.


ASI offers a staff of well-trained to assist in the patient’s services.

ASI coordinates care with ALL PCP and any referring physicians at the time of initial appointment via request form from the patient/family. Additional outgoing referrals may be provided as well at the end of the intake appointment.

Telemedicine & Teletherapy w/Doxy.me

Cancellation Notice

Any patient that cancels an appointment with (72 hours) less than three business days’ notice  and/or does not show up for their appointment will be charged a fee of:

  •   $85 for Therapist, Test Results
  •   $150 for Doctors, Test Results


Testing Cancellations: A considerable amount of time is scheduled for testing appointments. Cancellations for Testing require 3 business days advanced notice to avoid a cancellation fee.  There is a $75.00 cancellation/no show fee for each testing appointment that is not canceled with 3 business days advanced notice
